How do I determine whether something is right or wrong?

• What does the Bible say about it?
• If nothing, what can i infer from the Bible to draw a conclusion?
• Ask mature Christians who have invested in me what they think
• Consider my motivation
• Consider the impact and consequences on myself and others

What do I believe about why I exist?

• God, in His unfathomable love, created me in His image and prepared good works for me to do.
• I exist in absolute dependance on Him. Sometimes knowingly, mostly not.
• “Good works?”
  • To love and be a source of encouragement to others
  • To be a Godly wife
  • To be a Godly Mom
  • To be obedient to God… I left Cheryl’s/Worthington for YFC/Franklinton not knowing what was yet to unfold.
    • What would my suicide grief journey have looked like if I was still in corporate america? Works-focused performance junky vs. broken non-performing mom, wife, friend, who contributed NOTHING to any business or personal relational bottom line. Robbie stepped up, was my stability, so patient. LOSS CS came into existence. Our marriage grew stronger.

“I have seen” statements are different from “I believe” statements.

“I believe” statements can exist independent of “I have seen” statements but not vice versa.

• God use tragic circumstances for His glory
• God provide peace and calm in the midst of the most extremely f-ed up circumstances
• God work in Robbie’s character even when, in the moment, I couldn’t see it
• God take the passive, insecure guy sitting in the back of home church and build him, grow him, into a confident Godly servant leader.
• God take a seemingly confident, independent over-achieving performance junky and bring her to her knees. Teaching her true strength is found in weakness.
• God loosen my grip on this temporary world.
• God grow in me a longing for sinless eternity… day by day.

“I believe…”

• God created me and prepared kingdom impact works for me to do.
• I sometimes believe God loves me even though…
• God can answer my prayer… “show me, teach me, that you love me always.”
